Note: Companies that operate Commercial Motor Vehicles in both the US and Canada must be aware of both US and Canadian regulatory compliance. The US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations differ from Canadian regulations. However, fuel tax reporting (IFTA) and the International Registration Plan (IRP) are common across both the US and Canada.
