Subaru update regarding vehicle orders
April 07, 2011
Subaru of Canada has announced that Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), its parent company in Japan, has resumed all order-receiving operations in its Overseas Parts Sales department and is able to fulfill both air and sea orders as of today.
Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA) has confirmed that production will continue this week with full operations running from Tuesday to Thursday and half-day operations running on Mondays and Fridays.
Subaru Canada thus far has met all of its commitments despite the aftermath of the recent events in Japan.
According to Subaru, the pipeline situation in Canada may be completely different to that in the U.S. Clients with vehicle orders already placed will be delivered within normal timelines. Subaru has indicated that clients placing new orders should check with the Subaru head office regarding fulfillment and delivery statuses.
PHH will continue to provide you with additional information as it becomes available.
