2010 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana 2500/3500 stop delivery order
March 29, 2010
GM has issued a “stop delivery order” for specific 2010 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana 2500/3500 series vans that equipped with 145 amp generators (option codes KG3 and KD9), due to a potential defect. All impacted vehicles must be located and removed from service until recall repairs have been completed.
PHH has identified all affected vehicles based on the serial number range provided by GM and we are in the process of notifying delivering dealers as well as upfitters to ensure the necessary recall work is performed prior to delivery of the units.
In the event that any of your drivers have taken delivery of an impacted vehicle, GM has advised that both cables on the main and auxiliary batteries should immediately be disconnected. This is an important safety precaution to prevent the risk of a potential engine compartment fire. Until the battery cables are disconnected, vehicles should not be parked inside a garage, car port, or other enclosed structure.
Your PHH Account Team will be in contact with you if you have orders impacted by this action.
