Ford announces E-Series and 6.8L gas engine long-term product plans

Ford has announced that its E-Series (cargo vans and passenger wagons) will be produced into the 2014 calendar year, and that there will be a period where Transit and E-Series vans and wagons will be sold side-by-side in the 2013-2015 timeframe. E-Series Cutaways and Stripped Chassis > 10k GVWR will continue to be built through most of the remainder of this decade.
The 6.8-liter V10 two- and three-valve engines will continue to be available for E-Series and F53 models, respectively, for the foreseeable future. There is no plan to discontinue production of the 6.8L engine.
