Chrysler to recall certain MY 2011 vehicles

Chrysler has announced an impending safety recall (#L23) on certain 2011 model year vehicles listed below (built between April 15, 2011 and May 14, 2011):
- Dodge Journey (JC)
- Jeep Wrangler (JK)
- Chrysler Sebring & Dodge Avenger (JS)
- Dodge Nitro (KA)
- Jeep Liberty (KK)
- Dodge Caliber (PM)
- Jeep Patriot (MK)
- Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country
Some of the above vehicles may have been built with a missing or incorrectly installed steering column pivot rivet(s) which could result in compromised steering column performance in the event of a crash.
Chrysler will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to inspect for steering column pivot rivet presence and/or alignment. Vehicles found with missing or misaligned rivet(s) will have the pivot rivets replaced.
