Toyota recalls vehicles for safety issue

PHH Arval enhances online capabilities for fleet drivers

In its continuing effort to make it easier for fleet drivers to handle business related to their vehicles, PHH Arval has added new functionality to both PHH InterActive® for Drivers, its secure website, and PHH ConnectSM, its mobile application.   

The new functionality available on both portals includes:

  • Service card management. Drivers can handle all aspects of their service cards online, including reporting lost or stolen cards, retrieving PIN numbers and checking the status of new cards. 
  • Vehicle registration renewals. Drivers can obtain registration renewal status, order duplicate registrations, check status of duplicate registration, and check the status of replacement plates.
  • Insurance cards. Drivers can now request insurance cards online (in the U.S.).    

In addition to these new capabilities, drivers can also handle numerous other functions from their computers and/or mobile devices, including mileage reporting, online vehicle ordering, and authorizing Motor Vehicle Record requests. Via the PHH Connect mobile app, which is available on Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile and Android devices, drivers can instantly contact the appropriate PHH call center for help with maintenance, accidents or other needs.

GM recalls crossover SUVs; seat belts may not latch

General Motors Co announced today that it plans to recall more than 243,000 model year 2009/2010 crossover sport utilities, mainly in the United States, to inspect safety belts for possible damage. There is concern about potential damage to the second-row seat belts that can cause the belt to feel properly latched when it isn't.

Innovative North American vehicle ordering system

PHH Arval has announced the launch of PHH FleetSelectSM, the company’s new vehicle ordering platform, in both the United States and Canada.

This major system is a new release in the United States and includes its accompanying online ordering capability for fleet drivers. It is the second release in Canada, where the system was introduced in 2009. PHH Arval clients with fleets in both the U.S. and Canada can now use the same system to order their vehicles in this North American platform.
