PHH Arval enhances online capabilities for fleet drivers

In its continuing effort to make it easier for fleet drivers to handle business related to their vehicles, PHH Arval has added new functionality to both PHH InterActive^® for Drivers, its secure website, and PHH Connect^SM, its mobile application.

The new functionality available on both portals includes:

Service card management. Drivers can handle all aspects of their service cards online, including reporting lost or stolen cards, retrieving PIN numbers and checking the status of new cards.
Vehicle registration renewals. Drivers can obtain registration renewal status, order duplicate registrations, check status of duplicate registration, and check the status of replacement plates.
Insurance cards. Drivers can now request insurance cards online (in the U.S.).

In addition to these new capabilities, drivers can also handle numerous other functions from their computers and/or mobile devices, including mileage reporting, online vehicle ordering, and authorizing Motor Vehicle Record requests. Via the PHH Connect mobile app, which is available on Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile and Android devices, drivers can instantly contact the appropriate PHH call center for help with maintenance, accidents or other needs.

PHH Arval aligns Canadian operation to enhance customer service

“As our business has grown in Canada, our goal has been to continuously improve our ability to provide outstanding service,” said Jim Halliday, President of PHH Canada. “Our new organization brings all of the right people together on a single dedicated team so clients never have to worry about their work being handed off from one unit to another.”

The top-down restructuring includes the addition of two regional directors to the leadership team to strengthen strategic planning for client services. Also new are additional account manager positions. In addition, each dedicated account team will now include new vehicle acquisition consultants who will be responsible for selection, ordering and delivery of fleet vehicles.

Under the new structure, client consultants and client service administrators assigned to each customer will work directly with account executives who are responsible for providing strategic consulting to identify cost savings opportunities, recommend best practices and meet the needs of the customer.

As part of the restructuring, seven people were promoted to new positions. They include:

Greg Grant and Barbara Grayston, both regional directors. Greg, who has been with PHH Arval for more than 20 years and has managed key clients for more than 10 years, has filled a number of roles in client relations. Most recently he headed a team as lead account executive. Barbara has 21 years of experience serving PHH Arval clients, providing superior strategic fleet account management consulting services. Like Greg, Barbara also headed a team as lead account executive.
Gordana Vukin, account executive. Gordana has been with PHH Arval 22 years, with experience spanning financial accounting, licensing and client services. She has held client consultant and account manager positions for the past eight years, handling fleets ranging from small executive fleets to commercial fleets up to 700 units.
Angie Aucoin, Sumrita Bhatty, Lana Hadi and Angelique Singh, all account managers. Angie has held various positions, including in asset management, client relations and vehicle accident services, allowing her to build a strong base of expertise since joining PHH Arval in 1998. Sumrita has been a client consultant with PHH Arval for five years, giving her a solid insight into the needs of clients. Lana joined PHH Arval at the beginning of the year, bringing three years of experience in client relations, long-term leasing and fleet management of up to 900 vehicles. Angelique, who has been in the industry 10 years, has brought her fleet expertise and positive client focus to a variety of positions at PHH Arval over the past four years, including client relations.

PHH Arval launches PHH FleetSelect

PHH FleetSelect streamlines the ordering process, reduces order time, and enhances accuracy. It also includes major enhancements in visibility of vehicle status and order queue, customization, upfitting and more.

In addition, for fleets that allow their drivers to choose their vehicles from a pre-authorized selector, PHH FleetSelect’s online driver level ordering capability provides drivers with detailed information about vehicle description, equipment packages, and real-time order status, as well as multiple 360º images of each vehicle’s interior and exterior views.

PHH Arval wins second customer service award from The Fraser Group

The Fraser Group sets rigorous standards that must be met in order to achieve an “outstanding” level of performance. Throughout the past year, Fraser has monitored and scored calls taken by PHH’s Driver Response Team against the firm’s proprietary call center methodology. Each call is evaluated based on 36 criteria, and PHH consistently rated at 90 percent or higher over the past eight quarters. To date, PHH is the only company among those measured by Fraser to have achieved this level of performance.

Barry Maners, managing director of The Fraser Group, presented the award to PHH Arval during an awards ceremony at the company’s Sparks, Maryland, headquarters. PHH Arval acquires select assets of The Center for Transportation Safety, LLC

According to George Kilroy, president and CEO of PHH Arval, “This new in-house capability, made possible by the acquisition of the Center for Transportation Safety, LLC’s assets and brand, is another step in PHH Arval’s commitment to investing in the products, services, technology and capabilities that benefit our clients. We see this as a great opportunity to enhance our fleet risk and safety offerings, an area of prime importance to our clients. We will combine CTS’ safety training expertise with our existing portfolio of risk and safety services to help our clients reduce their vehicle accident rates and costs and keep their fleet drivers safer.”

Jay Shelly, former president and owner of the Center for Transportation Safety, LLC, has been hired by PHH Arval to help lead the newly created division. “I am excited to be part of PHH Arval, the premier fleet management company in North America. This acquisition follows a recent announcement about PHH Arval’s strategic partnership with a safety firm focused on comprehensive, web-based driver training. These additions are designed to strengthen PHH Arval’s leadership position in providing comprehensive programs to identify risk, provide targeted training, and manage vehicle crashes.

PHH’s Center for Transportation Safety will provide driver safety capabilities that cover vehicles of all sizes, including cars and light trucks, police and rescue vehicles, delivery vehicles, straight trucks, tractor-trailers, specialty tractor-trailers, and forklifts. The simulator, classroom, behind-the-wheel and mobile training programs can be accomplished at the client’s site or a field location.
